Parts / materials

No replacement parts required.

Preparation

  • Park level and identify the brake master-cylinder reservoir from the manual.

Step by step

  1. 01Clean around the closed cap so dirt cannot enter.
  2. 02Read the level through the reservoir wall and note fluid color.
  3. 03Inspect beneath the vehicle and around visible brake components for wetness.
  4. 04If low or the pedal changed, arrange a full brake inspection rather than hiding the symptom.

What success looks like

Level is in range, no leaks are visible, and pedal feel is firm and consistent.

Common mistakes

  • Opening unnecessarily
  • Adding the wrong fluid
  • Ignoring a falling level
